Lavender Essence

1 cup organic culinary grade lavender flowers

2 cups water

Bring water to boil, and add the lavender buds.

Mix the flowers into the water so that they are fully immersed.

Reduce heat to low, and steep mixture for about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a glass container.

Allow to cool at room temperature for about 45 minutes.

I like to store my Lavender Essence in a mason jar. It keeps in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks, if you can get it to last that long!
