Favorite Things Party, a Holiday Celebration on the Fly

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the busiest, too! If you’re like me, planning your own holiday party is often left to the last minute. Recently, I wanted to host a gathering for my friends, but didn’t have a lot of time to plan it. I came up with this fun idea to have a crafting workshop for my friends with a twist; each guest was asked to bring one of their favorite things to share!

Getting the invitations out was a snap, using this gorgeous Evite invitation. Since I’m an Evite Influencer, my premium invites were provided to me, sponsored by Evite, but the ideas and opinions for this party are, as always, my own.

Once I had sent it to my friends, managing the guest list was as simple as signing in to Evite to take a peek. I love their interactive Private Sharing Feed, we could all send messages to one another about the party privately.

Once the party date arrived, I set up some easy decorations with a budget of just one hundred dollars; no small feat for my spendy-self! I arranged some pretty flowers in a vintage teapot from my collection, and created a craft box for each guest that included a mini glue gun, and assorted supplies.party-on-the-fly-last-minute-party-crafting-party-worskhop-cropping-scrapping-10

I also placed some of my own favorite things in the  boxes like Udderly Smooth Lotion and Hershey’s Chocolates.

The craft table was laid out with lots of fun supplies from Oriental Trading Company, including all the items needed to create mini winter cottage terrariums. I love these bottle brush trees, they remind me of nostalgic Christmas times from my childhood.party-on-the-fly-last-minute-party-crafting-party-worskhop-cropping-scrapping-7

The final party creations were quite a sight to behold. It was so much fun seeing all the different ways my friends finished their projects! And I love that my hundred dollar budget went primarily into providing my guests with supplies to have an amazing take-away decoration. Parties with activities are that much more special!party-on-the-fly-last-minute-party-crafting-party-worskhop-cropping-scrapping-20

After the party, I put together some quick Thank You notes, using (you guessed it!), Evite! I loved the hand lettered look of this fun design.
