Winter Freakshake Overload!

Have you heard of the hottest frozen dessert trend to hit the LA dessert scene this year? It’s frozen, and it’s freaky: it’s Freakshakes! You’ve never heard of a Freakshake? It’s a dessert fantasy overload; a milkshake piled high with a tummy stuffing mountain of sweet treats, and I’m going to show you, (in up close, sugary coated detail), how you can make your own Freakshake right at home!

This is a sponsored post, which means I received some free goodies from one of my favorite shops on the planet, Bakers Party Shop. They have everything under the sun for creating your own custom confections, including sprinkles, glitters, cookie cutters, candy, wraps, cups, party decor and SO much more! Set aside some time and pull up their site at www.bakerspartyshop.com, you’ll love perusing their vast offerings for pros and home bakers alike.

But, those Freakshakes! Let’s dig in, shall we?

What You’ll Need:sprinkles-mini-marshmallows-edible-glitter-milkshake-straws

Step 1: Use a small spatula or butter knife to evenly spread the frosting all around the outer rim of the mug.

Really pile it on thick!

Step 2: Pour some of the micro marshmallows out onto a plate and dip the iced mug into the marshmallows until they stick.

Step 3: Fill in the spaces between the marshmallows with Pink Jimmy Sprinkles. I love how the hot pink looks with the marshmallows!winter-baking-ice-cream-freak-shake-creative-desserts-overload-17

I also added in some of the Snowflake Quins to the rim, since it IS a Winter Freakshake! You can make this with any fun themed sprinkles you like!

Step 4: Make up your milkshake; my recipe was easy, it’s just three healthy scoops of ice cream mixed with a little whole milk until it’s creamy enough to drink through a straw. Luckily Bakers Party Shop offers these thick straws so you can get a great big taste without a lot of effort!

Step 5: Top it off with a healthy mountain of whipped cream!

Step 6: Now for the fun part, adding the decorations! I added a brightly colored candy cane, a few round lollipops, and some of my famous iced sugar cookies, in the shape of a knit hat and hearts. More sprinkles, some glitter and a beautiful straw, and this amazing confection is ready to serve!

Serve it up with some tasty sugar cookies for that merry, bouncing off the walls kind of spirit. Kids and adults love Winter Freakshakes, and don’t forget to leave one for Santa, you’ll be on the GOOD list for sure!
