Beat the heat with this refreshing Frozen Rose Wine Slushie! If you can boil water, you can make this simple treat; it’s elegant and super trendy. Enjoy at parties, in the pool, or just grilling in the backyard.
Ingredients:
1 Bottle Rose Wine (inexpensive is fine for this recipe)
3 Tbsp. Cherry Man Cherry Syrup or Pureed Strawberrries
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 Cups water
1/2 to 1 Cups sugar
Fresh Mint Leaves, for garnish
Preparation
In a small saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups water and the sugar to a boil.
Pour mixture into a 9- by 13-in. freezer-proof baking dish, stir in the cherry syrup or strawberry puree, the wine, and the lemon juice. Freeze for 2 hours. Stir mixture, breaking up any chunks, re-cover, and freeze at least 3 hours and up to 2 days. When ready to serve, scrape mixture with a spatula, to create soft mounds of icy “snow.”
Garnish with fresh mint, and serve immediately. (This is a chance to show off your prettiest stemware, so break out the fancy stuff!)
This is such a light and refreshing summer treat! Hope you enjoy, as you celebrate everything!
